I am watching McCains speech and I just saw a direct shot of an American subvet, approximately 5 minutes into the speech. Good times.
I saw that Sub Vet as well. I will try to get a sceeen shot later and post it.
Under ethics investigation...inexperienced (Karl Rove vilified possible Obama VP pick Tim Kaine for exactly the same qualifications...or lack...as Palin, even though Kaine was mayor of a bigger city and governor of a bigger state for longer). Her speech was all attack and no ideas/specifics/plans. As mayor of a then 5,000 person town she had to have a city administrator to get the job done (there are more people at my current employer than in Wasilla, AK). She gives fired up speeches (that have no real substance...what's the GOP tax plan, or economic plan, or Iraq plan?), and that's all it takes to win over Republicans? And they complain that Obama's speeches have no details?Come on...she's all show and no substance. Kay Bailey Hutchenson would have been 1000% better choice, at least she has experience and isn't a religious right panderer.

Ah, the religious right argument. And I thought the Republican Party was the party of individual freedom and liberty. Why is it that it seems they are really the party of "individual freedom and liberty on OUR terms"?
I think McCain hit it on the head about wanting to clean up Washington, but I think Palin is going to be better at doing that than he would. He has been a part of the problem for too long. I truly believe that only way to regain control of the government is by forcing them to once again be accountable to the people that elect them.

:) You just took away all my fun...Someone up the page mentioned term limits, as a liberal minded type it may surprise you to know that I fully and wholeheartedly support term limits for Congress and would even entertain them for the Supreme Court (say a 20 year cap on justices).
I keep hearing the claim from the dems that Sarah has said nothing with substance........ I don't disagree but I don't really think it was her goal to discuss topics in detail. Her convention speech was only a few days after being chosen and it was her chance to come out and show and tell people who she is. I'm sure that will lead to topics with substance in the coming days/weeks.I am trying to remember if Biden had any substance in his convention speech and nothing comes to mind..... Just a thought, but he has little need to come out and let people know who he is being as he's been around the block.I think (hope) you will be very impressed when she and Biden have a little debating time...... as Biden has said himself, he won't be able to hold his own against her sharp tongue. I'd like to see her debate with Obama, I think she would give him a run for his money..... and being as everyone wants to compare her (the vp candidate) to Obama (the pres candidate) I think they should. I have yet to hear Biden compared to McCain, well maybe I have but not at all to the scale of the Palin/Obama......Good times
